Community Involvement - Cuidando Los Niños

Greg Lobberegt has had on-going commitment to Cuidando Los Niños for more than a decade.

Our company and many of its agents contribute countless volunteer hours and thousands of dollars every year to battle the problem of homeless families with young children.

Cuidando Los Niños (CLN ) is a non-profit, state-licensed daycare center offering a diverse program of services for homeless families with young children.

Cuidando Los Niños Daycare

CLN meets the immediate needs of homeless young children for safe day shelter, nutritious food and loving care.

CLN helps homeless children develop the skills they'll need for success in the public schools and beyond.

CLN enables homeless parents to move toward self-sufficiency by allowing them to look for work, go to school, or receive counseling for substance abuse or other problems while their children are in daycare.

Children under six are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. The cost of childcare often deprives homeless parents of opportunities to overcome the obstacles they face. Children suffer the loss of a secure home life because their parents remain trapped in the cycle of homelessness.

We believe that quality daycare should not be an impossibility for homeless children.

Top 5 Home Design Trends for 2014 - Part 3

Here are the Top 5 home design trends to watch and follow this year.

Past entries: Trend #1, Trend #2, Trend #3

Trend #4 - Making walls and rooms more dramatic
Apart from the use of neutral colors in furniture, walls will be given touches of drama, class, and elegance. They will bear darker colors which will become perfect backgrounds for furniture and fixtures that have metallic accents or are metals themselves. The use of dark colors in walls will also pave way for making rooms appear warmer and more inviting. A lot of homeowners who frequently accept visitors are expected to go with this flow.

Trend #5 - Going ultramodern with smart home options
Comfortable living will rely more on smart home options. The past years have seen the rise of surveillance cameras and other home security systems. Several homes have also utilized thermostat systems and lighting systems with time sensors. Robotic cleaners with scheduling capabilities and traffic sensors will also become more feasible options to make home cleaning chores easier. Other home appliances will establish greater connections with the smart phones of their owners. More applications will give greater control over their use.

These are just five of the many home design trends that will grace the homes of many individuals. More are expected to diversify how homes will look this 2014. The choice is yours to make to impart more beauty to your own living space.

Question for the Reader: What sort of redesign are you doing to your home in 2014?
