Buying A House? You Need A Checklist. (Part 3)

In this series we are looking at creating a checklist of things you need to consider when purchasing a house.  Feel free to revisit Part 1 or Part 2.

Choosing a Good Location

Neighborhoods and locations that have proven to be more stable in terms of real estate value during the recent downturn in the market can provide you with a good indicator of where to purchase your next home or investment property.  If you are looking at investing, location is not a factor you can overlook.  You need to purchase a home that will provide you with a healthy return or at least maintain its market value thru the inevitable rough patches.

The right location for your next home or investment property may be the single most important factor when purchasing a home.

Question to the Reader:  Has location been important to you in past home buying decisions?
